Beginning with a pre-surgery orientation for orthopedic patients and their support person, various aspects of what to expect before, during and after surgery are explained.  Our medical professionals review nutritional needs, nursing care, respiratory thrapy services, medications, spiritual care requests, physical therapy treatments, discharge planning, and how to prepare for returning home to recuperate.

We also pre-register orthopedic patients, perform required lab tests, and introduce them to many members of our staff.  Patients receive their own personalized healthcare guidebook specific to their procedure.  Then on the day of surgery, patients arrive with a fuller understanding of their procedure and their recovery process.
