Cardiopulmonary Services
Diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the heart and lungs.

The Cardiopulmonary unit is comprised of a group of experienced respiratory therapists who use the lastest technology to help diagnose and treat disorders of the heart and lungs.  Patients with asthma, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pneumonia, or any condition where a persons breathing is insufficient, receive a personalized plan of care based upon evidence based medicine.

The Cardiopulmonary staff assist physicians in the diagnosis of certain heart and lung disorders by performing technologically advanced tests such as: Electrocardiogram (EKG)-Pulmonary Function Testing-24 Hour Halter Monitoring-Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring-Exercise Treadmill Stress Testing-Pulse Oximetry-Capnography /Co2 detection-Nuclear Medicine Stress Testing-Arterial Blood Gas Analysis.

In the event of a catastrophic event or life threatening emergency, the cardiopulmonary department, in collaboration with hospital physicians employ a variety of life support techniques including mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation.

Respiratory staff members of the Cardiopulmonary department attend all newborn deliveries to help make sure our babies are breathing effectively to get the best start possible with their lives.
