The goal of our therapy team is to help patients gain the highest level of independent function for the physical and mental tasks of daily living. Through individualized care plans, our team of licensed therapy professionals utilizes specialized treatments to provide physical, speech and occupational therapies to hospitalized patients and patients referred by physicians.
Physical Therapy Services:
- Evaluate and treat problems with muscles, the skeletal system and nervous system.
- Utilize a variety of tools and techniques, including hands-on treatment of soft tissues and joints, heat, cold, sound waves (ultrasound), electrical stimulation, and mechanical traction.
- Carefully select exercises to promote healing and improve posture and movement to prevent re-injury.
Occupational Therapy Services:
- Evaluate and treat difficulties with performing activities of daily living, which may have been affected by injury, illness or disease.
- Promote healing and maximum use of the body.
- Redesign tasks that may have become difficult due to a physical or mental setback.
- Utilize adaptive equipment, and modify home and work environments.
Speech Therapy Services:
- Provide help with speech and language difficulties.
- Treatment usually involves re-learning the ability to use speech muscles, and to communicate through guided practice.
- Utilize adaptive equipment and modified methods to promote independent communication.
- Give specialized treatment for patients who have lost the ability to swallow safely.
- Investigate reasons for swallowing problems with specialized technology.

Our therapy services offer seamless coordination of care for patients as they progress from the acute hospital care setting to inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation; ensures therapy information becomes part of the patient’s medical records at the hospital so patient’s physician has access, and provides the area’s only Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist services.
