Emergency Services at Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta

Our Emergency Department/Level III Trauma Center is staffed by Board Certified physicians and a specially trained staff.  Through their skill and training, patients are treated efficiently, thoroughly and with care.  As a designated Level III Trauma Center, our Emergency Team is specially trained and experienced in treating your unexpected medical needs.

For those emergencies requiring a Level II Trauma Center, an air ambulance service can quickly transport the patient from our heliport to one of our sister medical centers for care.

Count on us!  We're here every minute of every day for emergencies ranging from bumps and bruises to extremely serious medical conditions or injuries.

As a member of Dignity Health, we are closely tied to a wide continuum of care, Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a "sister" facility to Mercy Medical Center Redding and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff.

Doctors caring for patients in the hospital are independent providers of medical care and are not employees or agents of the Hospital. These doctors include clinic physicians, surgeons, emergency room doctors, hospitalists, radiologists, pathologists, anesthesiologists and intensive care doctors. The doctors are also responsible for giving you information about the risks, benefits, and alternative kinds of treatment so that you can make an informed decision about the Patient’s care. The Hospital’s nurses and staff are responsible for carrying out the instructions of the doctors(s). You will receive a separate bill from the doctors for their services.
