If you need a copy of your records to take to another physician, for your own records, or to have available in case of an emergency, contact the HIM Department. We are open and available Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  You may also contact us by phone at (530) 926-9341.

EHR – Electronic Health Record

Together, we are shaping the future of patient care.  Teams from across Dignity Health are working in the North State Service Area to help implement an electronic health record for patients. When implemented, the EHR will provide a digital, life-long health history of all patients receiving care at our hospital.  With patients’ history all in one place, we will significantly reduce repeat testing and get a better picture of every patient’s care needs.

There are many benefits to EHR, including reduction in error, more efficient ordering and increased turn around times, reducing usage of paper, more time spent with patients and improved decision-making.  In fact, EHR is widely considered one of the most important efforts hospitals can do today to improve patient care.

Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta, Mercy Medical Center Redding and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital have been chosen as three of the first sites within the Dignity Health system to implement this exciting new project.   The Electronic Health Record will be implemented in the near future.
